What backup & disaster recovery involves
Running in the cloud does not remove the need for backups. Providers protect their infrastructure, but deleted data, corrupted databases, ransomware in your account or a regional outage remain your responsibility. This service designs recovery for workloads hosted on AWS, Azure and Google Cloud.
Each application receives a recovery point objective and recovery time objective based on business impact. Backups are copied to a separate account and region with immutability through features such as AWS Backup Vault Lock or Azure immutable vaults, so an attacker with admin access cannot delete them.

Scheduled, immutable backups restored into a clean environment when needed, the lowest-cost option for systems that can tolerate hours of downtime.
Pilot light
Data continuously replicated to a second region with minimal infrastructure running, scaled up during a disaster.
Warm standby
A scaled-down but fully functional copy running in another region, able to take traffic within minutes.
Recovery automation
Failover runbooks scripted with infrastructure as code and orchestration services such as Azure Site Recovery or AWS Elastic Disaster Recovery.

Ask a questionNot on their own. Snapshots in the same account and region can be deleted by an attacker or lost in a regional incident. Copies in a separate account and region with immutability are needed for real protection.
Critical systems should be tested at least twice a year, and after major changes. Tests often reveal missing DNS changes, expired credentials or undocumented dependencies.
This service is specific to cloud-hosted workloads. Our IT infrastructure disaster recovery service covers on-premises and hybrid estates, including business continuity planning across sites.
Design and implementation are fixed-price projects. Ongoing backup monitoring and scheduled recovery tests can be included in a monthly managed service, while cloud storage and replication costs are billed by the provider.
