Mobile Application Testing
Testing Android and iOS apps on real devices and emulators, covering functionality, interruptions, network conditions, permissions, battery and memory use, app store requirements and automation with Appium or native frameworks.
Capability overview
What mobile application testing involves
Mobile apps run in unpredictable conditions: phones with limited memory, networks dropping between 4G and no signal, incoming calls interrupting payment, notifications arriving while the app is closed and users denying location permission. In India, testing on affordable Android devices with varied manufacturer customisations matters as much as flagship phones.
We test on real devices and device clouds such as BrowserStack or Firebase Test Lab, with device selection based on your analytics. Automation uses Appium, Espresso, XCUITest or Maestro depending on the app, and testing covers app store policies and release builds, not only debug builds. Crash and performance data from tools such as Firebase Crashlytics also guide where testing effort goes after each release.

What is included
Mobile test areas
Device coverage
Test matrix built from your user analytics, covering Android manufacturers, OS versions, screen sizes and iOS versions.
Interruptions and lifecycle
Calls, notifications, backgrounding, low battery, app kills and resumption during critical flows.
Network conditions
Slow, unstable and offline networks simulated to test retries, caching and error messages.
Permissions and integrations
Camera, location, contacts, biometrics, deep links, push notifications and payment app handoffs.
Performance and resources
Launch time, frame drops, memory, battery and data usage measured on representative devices.
How we work
How we deliver mobile application testing
Device strategy
Priority devices selected from analytics and market data, with real and cloud device access arranged.
Test planning
Functional, platform-specific and non-functional scenarios planned for Android and iOS.
Build testing
Release candidates tested through TestFlight, internal testing tracks or enterprise distribution.
Automation
Stable critical journeys automated and run on device farms.
Store readiness
Release builds checked against app store guidelines, permissions declarations and privacy labels.

Questions about Mobile Application Testing
Cannot find what you need? Our team responds to technical and commercial questions within one business day.
Ask a questionEnough to cover most of your active users by device family and OS version. Analytics usually show a manageable set of priority devices, supplemented by cloud devices for broader checks.
Emulators are useful for early functional testing and automation. Real devices are necessary for performance, camera, biometrics, manufacturer customisations and network behaviour.
Yes. Cross-platform apps still need testing on both platforms, and automation approaches are chosen to support their rendering and component structure.
Based on app size, platforms, device matrix and release frequency, either per release cycle or through dedicated mobile QA engineers.
