What website accessibility involves
Accessible websites can be used by people with visual, hearing, motor and cognitive disabilities, as well as older users and people on small screens or in difficult environments. In India, the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act and Guidelines for Indian Government Websites make accessibility especially important for public sector and public-facing organisations.
We audit websites against WCAG 2.2 AA using automated tools such as axe and WAVE, manual keyboard testing and screen readers including NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver and TalkBack. Findings map to specific success criteria, then our developers remediate code, templates, content patterns and documents, and verify fixes through retesting.
Automated tools catch only part of the problem, so manual testing and, where possible, feedback from disabled users form the core of the assessment.
